Setanta/Jure Bohoric - Pecnik reveals English league snub
Nejc Pecnik has revealed he has rejected offers from Leicester City and Queens Park Rangers.
The Slovenian striker has signed for Slavia Prague from Celje instead after being attracted to the idea of playing alongside Czech idol Patrik Berger.
"It is no secret that I was in Leicester for a few days," said 21-year-old Pecnik.
"I talked with City about a transfer and later also went to London.
"The offer from QPR was much better than this one from Sparta. But I am convinced I made the right choice.
"Sparta put a lot of effort in to bring me to the club.
"I was talking with them since last December and they were watching me in many games.
"They want to be the best team in the Czech Republic again and have also bought Patrik Berger.
"It will be an honour to play with such an eminent player." Setanta
