- Paul Hart as The Next QPR Manager? His Managerial History, Background & Interviews

Mail/Rob Draper - Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in line to replace Jim Magilton at QPR
- Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has emerged as a shock contender to become the ninth manager in three years at Championship club QPR.
Rangers owner Flavio Briatore is considering taking a gamble on 38-year-old Dutchman Hasselbaink, who has become a well-connected mover and shaker on the London social and media scene since retiring from football after the FA Cup final in 2008.
-Current manager Jim Magilton is suspended after a bust-up with Akos Buzsaky and is unlikely to return to his job, despite denying any wrong-doing.
- Darren Ferguson, Paul Hart and Gareth Southgate have all been mentioned as possible replacements at Loftus Road, but Hasselbaink is in pole position, despite not having had a managerial position before.
His Stamford Bridge connections are not going down well with Rangers fans, either.

Rod Liddle/Sunday Times -It may be tempting but nutting players comes at a cost - Football’s scales of justice are too often rooted in the importance of the individual, rather than fair play
- "....The situation at Queens Park Rangers is somewhat stranger. I made a short entry in my notebook a couple of years ago when it was announced QPR were to become the “richest team in football” to hate them a little more than I did already, and to wish for them the most appalling misfortune.
- And, you see, there is a God. QPR have taken to conceding goals recently in a manner matched only by the Ards Highland League side Fort William, and even Fort William managed to win a game recently. They are ensconced in the upper middle of the Championship, some distance away from the Champions League glory that was, for a brief moment, assumed to be their beholden right.
- Their manager, Jim Magilton, is a good sort, but he too has been implicated in a nutting confrontation after QPR’s abject stuffing at Watford.
- Something took place in the dressing room between Jim and their feisty Hungarian midfield dynamo, Akos Buzsaky, and the consequences have been markedly different. It is Magilton who has been suspended by the club while Buzsaky is calling for still more tangible recompense and insisting that he will take legal action. Further, it is alleged that Magilton was suspended after a demand for such from the midfielder and that various replacements are being lined up for the manager’s chair, among them Darren Ferguson, who resigned recently from Peterborough.
- We do not know the full details of either incident but it is tempting to believe that the owners of QPR believe Buzsaky to be of greater value than their manager and that the owners of Stoke City believe that Tony Pulis is of greater value to them than James Beattie.[/b]
- I suppose this is a cynical way of looking at it. But then tell me it ain’t so.
