QPR Official Site: Warnock on Pre-Season

QPR Official Site - NW: 'NEW LADS HAVE IMPRESSED ME'
- Neil Warnock has revealed he's 'been impressed' with the R's new signings during the opening week of pre-season.
- Quintet Paddy Kenny, Clint Hill, Shaun Derry, Jamie Mackie and Leon Clarke have all been put through their paces with their new team-mates over the last seven days and Warnock commented: "The new lads have settled in fantastically well.
- "If I'm honest, I've never see Clint (Hill) and Dezza (Shaun Derry) looking so fit.
- "Paddy (Kenny) looks in great condition too and he's loving the change of environment. It's given him a big lift.
- "Jamie Mackie and Leon Clarke have been superb. They've been working very closely in training and that's a great sign already." QPR

- QPR Official Site - WARNOCK: 'SO FAR, SO GOOD'
- Neil Warnock has revealed he's been 'delighted' with the opening week of the R's pre-season campaign.
- The Rangers First Team squad have worked tirelessly since reporting back to Harlington on July 1st - to the delight of the R's gaffer.
- "The lads have come back in great condition," he told www.qpr.co.uk.
- "They've kept themselves in good knick, as they tend to do these days.
- "One or two of the lads that had injuries last season are a bit behind, but that's to be expected at this time of the season."
- Warnock heaped particular praise on midfielder Martin Rowlands, who missed the majority of the 2009/10 season owing to a knee injury.
- "I've been really pleased with Martin," he said.
- "He's done all the fitness stuff with us and he's looking sharp.

- "I've tried to sign Martin a few times during my managerial career and he's a player I've got a lot of time for.
- "He's always busting a gut and I'm delighted to be working with him."

- The R's most recent signing, Clint Hill, revealed last week that some Rangers players 'didn't know what had hit them' in the opening few days of pre-season - and Warnock chuckled: "I'll admit I'm very hands on for the first 10 days or so of pre-season.
-"It's quite boring stuff if I'm honest - drills without the ball- but it will stand us in good stead once the games start coming thick and fast." QPR
