- Hopefully not a harbinger: Hereford today had three points deducted for playing an ineligible player in one game.

Yahoo - Warnock not worried by charges
- QPR manager Neil Warnock insists he is not concerned about the FA charges brought against his npower Championship leaders.
- Rangers were last month charged with seven breaches of the rules regarding third-party ownership and payments to an unauthorised agent in relation to the signing of Argentinian midfielder Alejandro Faurlin.
- The club and chairman Gianni Paladini will contest the charges at a hearing on May 3 with a decision due on May 6 - one day before the final round of Championship fixtures.
- Rangers should have sealed promotion by then - they are currently nine points clear at the top - and although one possible outcome is a points deduction it is understood that is unlikely.
- And Warnock said: "I'm not anxious at all.
- "I don't think we should comment until it's finished. Then you'll see what I think."

Paul Warburton/Fulham Chronicle - Lee Cook wants to fight for QPR future

- LEE Cook is desperate for three games to prove he has a QPR future - and insists his team-mates can help him out.
- If Hoops wrap up promotion before the end of the season, the long-suffering winger contends manager Neil Warnock is more likely to give him a showcase for the remaining fixtures and help his first-team cause.
- After coming through 70 minutes of his first game in six weeks - the 0-0 draw with Fulham last week - Cook reckons he will defy the odds and stay with Rangers.
- He said: "There was no after effect on my knee - and I’ve worked my nuts off to get back to fitness.
- "At my best I know I can play in the Premiership - and playing there for the club I’ve supported all my life would be a dream."
- Cook’s list of ailments is telephone book-length after playing only nine games in two years, and all stemming from his damaged knee, ironically aggravated playing his only game for a Premiership side against QPR.
- The 28-year-old signed for Fulham in 2007 and featured in a pre-season friendly against Rs, since when it is has been one bit of bad luck after another.
- "I know fans have written me off,’ said Cook. "I would in their position. But they don’t know me and don’t see the day-to-day work I’m doing.
- "I guess the big moment will come at the end of the season when the manager says he does or doesn’t want me.
- "If it’s a no then I’ll weigh up my options. But if my team-mates can wrap up promotion and give me a chance to get a game or two that would be the first step."
- Warnock wants to give Cook as long as he can - but warned he may have to ‘manage’ his knee for the rest of his career.
- He added: " I don’t think we’re at the stage where it’s over for him because he’s a battler, and what Lee needs is the confidence of three or four games to help get him back." Fulham Chronicle

Daily Mail/Richard Kay - (re Ecclestone/QPR Purchase)

- PS... Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone was over the moon at Loftus Road stadium, home of Queens Park Rangers, on Monday night as he watched the team he bought for £14 million beat Sheffield United 3-0. QPR are now a mere goal kick or two from being promoted to the lucrative Premier League.
‘It should have been five-nil,’ declares Bernie who bought the West London club with his chum and former F1 team boss Flavio Briatore.
But I am told that when Flavio first called Bernie to say: ‘Hey, let’s buy QPR,’ Bernie thought he said KFC and was under the impression they were buying a fast-food fried chicken chain. Mail

THE FA CHARGES vs QPR

QPR Official Site - Tue 05 Apr 2011

The FA today (Tuesday) released the following statement:

The FA can confirm an Independent Regulatory Commission will shortly hear charges brought against QPR in relation to alleged breaches of FA Rules.

The hearing will commence on Tuesday 3 May, with a decision due on Friday 6 May.

Queens Park Rangers FC has been charged with seven breaches of FA regulations.

‪The Club charges relate to the player Alejandro Faurlin and concern the alleged existence of an agreement between the Club and a third party in respect of the player's economic rights, and the alleged failure by the Club to notify The FA of that agreement before the player was registered to play in England in July 2009.

‪These charges are brought under FA Rules C1(b)(iii) and E3, and the Third Party Investment in Players Regulations, A1 and A2.

‪The Club is also charged with allegedly using or seeking to pay an Unauthorised Agent in relation to the player's registration in July 2009. This charge is brought under the Players Agents Regulations, A1.

‪The Club and Club Official Gianni Paladini are also charged in respect of allegedly false information contained in documents submitted to The FA in relation to the same player signing an extension to his playing contract with the Club in October 2010. These charges are brought under the Players Agents Regulations, C2, and FA Rule E3.

QPR and Mr Paladini have both indicated they are denying all of the charges and shall be contesting them at the hearing.

The FA, QPR and Mr Paladini shall be making no further comment until the charges are resolved.

QPR1st Supporters Trust Statement on Hearing Date

- That the FA can not find the way or means to reach a decision that could impact on who wins this league and who reaches the playoffs before the very eve of the last match of the season is beyond belief. It does nothing to restore faith in an organisation that has caused football to be labelled by the Sports Minster as 'the worst governed sport in the country'.
