Facebook trolls target R’s ace Tal

QPR’S new signing Tal Ben Haim has been bombarded with anti-Semitic insults — on the club’s OFFICIAL Facebook page.

The R’s have been forced to ‘block’ people who abused the 30-year-old Israeli defender following his arrival on a free transfer last week.
One Facebook troll asked how the club’s Moroccan star Adel Taarabt can “live playing alongside a Jew?”.
A genuine QPR supporter said on the site: “On Saturday, when Tal came on as sub and it was announced on Facebook, some comments were shocking and had nothing to do with football.
“Many of them are from Indonesia, the greater South East Asia region and the Gulf region.

A club spokesman said: “We are banning all posters who post anti-Semitic comments.” The SUn

QPR Say No To Anti-Semitism

QPR's Israeli International, Tal Ben-Haim was the subject of some anti-Semitic abuse on the QPR Official "Social Media." on Saturday. Those comments were subsequently (and commendably) removed by the club.  (And there were many comments on that same QPR Facebook page, by QPR Fans responding to and denouncing those comments)

Today, QPR Media Head, Ian Taylor Tweeted:
"We are monitoring these on a regular basis and are banning all posters who post anti semitic comments, Mike. Cheers"
[QPR Report Comment:  Good to hear from QPR. Would be nice also for the club to also issue an official statement or official tweet saying no place for anti-Semitism at Loftus Road. ]

"With just one defeat in five games, Gareth Ainsworth delivered some festive cheer to the Chairboys' faithful in December. Starting the month in 21st and one point from safety, 10 points from a possible 15 ensured Ainsworth's men finished 2012 in 17th position and 10 points clear of the drop zone"
